The Seasonal House adapts to our specific seasonal needs. Changes in temperature, daylight, and weather conditions impact plants, wildlife, and human behaviour and activeness. Unlike most houses fixed in structure and function, primarily designed for winter, The Seasonal House, with its flexible structure inspired by half-timbered houses, enables adaptation to different climatic conditions.
While everything converges under the roof in winter, during warmer months, it opens up. Objects of our daily routines, like the kitchen, bed, and shower, can flexibly be moved into different areas of the garden. Our radius of activity grows naturally, turning the entire garden into the house.
Permaculture
Is a sustainable method of agriculture that aims to learn from natural ecosystems and empower biodiversity within the garden. The garden is divided into different zones that vary in the level of care they require.
The Seasonal House
Is a project that integrates the human dwelling and its functions into the circular organization of the garden, adapting to the changing human needs during the different seasons of the year.
